How Powerful is People Power – A Different Perspective of Tips and Thoughts

How powerful can people power be? Can it be a means to an end? As the old proverb goes, vox populi, vox dei, the voice of the people is the voice of God! Considering my faith in God’s power, I quite agree with the said old adage. It can be deduced in a way that some sort of Divine intervention could have played a vital role in a successful people power revolution, especially in a non-violent and bloodless scenario. This could probably be a way of God’s response to the impassioned plea of the majority of the people for help, regardless of … Continue reading How Powerful is People Power – A Different Perspective of Tips and Thoughts

MyUsefulTips 1st Year Blog Anniversary – A Blessing!

In my blog entitled, “Moving Forward…” published on October 10, 2010, I resolved to go on with my blogging activities after a week’s contemplation as to whether or not to leave the blogosphere. Indeed, time flies as today, myusefultips.com is one year old! It was just like yesterday that I was smitten abruptly by the blogging world primarily to get my thoughts out there on many facets of life which I believe should need more advocacies. That is reflective in the blog categories which cover almost the things that I most advocate for… to promote quality of life. I really … Continue reading MyUsefulTips 1st Year Blog Anniversary – A Blessing!

Saranggani Congressman Stops By the Oval Office- “An Unforgettable Moment”

Eight time world boxing champion and now Congressman Manny Pacquiao (Pacman) got the privilege to step on the grounds of the White House (WH) and reportedly had a tete-a-tete conversation with President Barrack Obama with the help of his friend Nevada Senator Harry Reid. (photo from the web) I was surfing the net to check on details of Pacquiao’s WH visit but based on reports, it appears nothing has been said much about it except for the very brief identical press releases published by certain known sports dailies. A Momentous and Historic Event – A Personal Reflection

I thought this article would document in a way the first Filipino Mass ever performed in NY Ozone Park’s St. Mary Gates of Heaven Church’ (SMGHC), in its over 100 years of existence. SMGHC has welcomed another community to celebrate the Holy Mass in their native language, the first of which was held on December 29,2010, and the second one on February 6, 2011. It was wonderful to see all “Pinoy” parishioners flocking to the Church and celebrating the said event with some merry making and food to share after the Mass. Such occasion affirmed the Church commitment to … Continue reading A Momentous and Historic Event – A Personal Reflection
