For us Christians, Lent is the time of being quiet and reflective, stepping away from the “world’” to focus on the commemoration of the passion and death of Jesus Christ. It is during this season that we are encouraged to undertake small or big gesture of sacrifice (prayer, self-denial, service, etc.) which will hopefully lead us closer to God. It is also the season of the year where we prepare for Easter time….more joyful, more generous and encouraging!
Regardless of how we formulate our Lenten discipline (or even if you don’t), I hope that it will help us turn towards God not only during Lent but throughout. I also hope that our spiritual journey to Easter will draw us more closer and closer to the risen Jesus Christ who brings us new life and gives us another chance to have a fresh start!
Have a blessed and meaningful Holy Week everyone!
