A Happy Thanksgiving Meal to Millions of Undocumented Immigrants!

For many, Thanksgiving Day is the most important holiday in the U.S. where Americans would take the holiday off and spend time with family and friends, catching up and  enjoying their Thanksgiving turkey. I know right, Thanksgiving Day is not meant to give thanks to and hail immigrants, it is not Immigration Day! Hello???   “Irene's” alarming sojourn's to the East Coast this week provided me at least a brief respite from the daily norms, specifically giving me adequate time to sit down in front of a television closely monitoring on the whereabouts of the slow-moving hurricane. The said downgrade issuance was quite a surprise to them as seemingly there had been exchanges of communications prior to the announcement between … Continue reading U.S. Credit Rating Downgrade: A Dead Serious Wake-Up Call!

Corruption – A Dreadful Disease With A Simple Cure – Tips and Thoughts

I presume the subject matter may not be within the realm of UN’s aims, duties and functions, as provided for in its charter. However, there is a vague reference to it wherein one of the targets included in MD Goal No. 8 is a commitment from the world leaders to “good governance”, by supporting, among others, transparency and accountability at all levels but said indicator is specifically geared towards allocation and spending of … Continue reading Corruption – A Dreadful Disease With A Simple Cure – Tips and Thoughts
